Modern Drummer App Reviews

I already pay thirty bucks a year for the print/digital editions which includes mailing. Now they want five bucks an issue or twenty five for the year?!? How about two per issue and 10 per year and I will consider it. Would be nice to have the mag on my phone, but not necessary.

Was excited to see an apple newsstand version, but when it asked for $5/issue I was disappointed. I wish I could comment on the actual content/formatting but not willing to pay more to find out. Thanks for trying. Hopefully youll change this soon as it looks like most people agree so far.

Okay, Alan White is one of my favorite drummers. The current issue had a feature that was landscape on the pages in the magazine, as such, it was land scape on my iPad. When I turned my iPad, the page turned as well. So, no matter what I did, the feature was always sideways. This emagazine is in the stone ages..no interactive ads or other features. If I wanted to scan the magazine to read it on my iPad, Id have done that myself. For the price... Not worth it, Im canceling...

Ill wait until they combine print & online subscription into one price.

Im a long time fan of Modern Drummer and subscriber to the hard copy, but it wont let me log in with that account. It is still asking me to pay 5 bucks for issues I already paid for. Dumb.

Always been a fan of MD and thinking of subscribing again. Would be nice if I could get a free issue to see if this app is worth buying a subscription to or staying with the print. Unfortunately without a free issue this app is useless without spending $25 and hoping for best. Guess Ill order a subscription for print.

I love Modern Drummer. Always have, always will. However, this app continues to kick me out every time I try to sign into it. I purchased the hard copy/digital copy subscription and right now, I cant wait to get my hard copy in the mail. Wish this app would work so I could read my current issue on the go. Please fix this sign in bug soon.

A terrible app & the mag has never been more chock full of ads. Save your money.

I subscribed early 2012, and all this time it has never given me any trouble. Its perfect for travel, cant wait to re-subscribe!

Heres the thing, its modern drummer. If youre looking for a great mag, with great articles, this is it. If you are wanting something for nothing, you get what you pay for.

Consistently crashes when opened. I purchased Aprils edition and cant view it. This is terribly frustrating. Fix it.

I cant tell you guys how much business youre losing right now. What a HORRIBLE implementation! Here I am in good faith ready to plop down my $25 for a years subscription, in spite of the fact that the sign up portion of the app shuts down after the age field comes up every time. Not good for business. This, on top of the fact that I already have a digital subscription from the old source, that seems non-transferable. Please get your act together.

It kicks me, since January. What a junk show. Its like reading a poster from across the street.

Crashes on attempting to login

I am a drummer, and this magazine provides useful information and product reviews for everything I need. I would highly recommend this magazine to anyone, drummer or not. If you have an interest in learning how to play the drums, this is for you.

Why do paid print subscribers have to buy a separate digital subscription? No other news or magazine app requires two subscriptions. Please fix this and restore the trust of MDs loyal subscribers!

Got the subscription later to find out it will not load on first generation iPad but will work on my iPhone 5. Ever try to read a magazine on a phone?

After you renew your subscription, it automatically "dumps" your previous subscriptions. You may buy your subscriptions back for a second time if you want to read them again.

Love the mag but hate your business model.
